This Historic Train Depot Turned Coffee Shop Is a Must-Visit in Cheney, Washington

All aboard for this special visit! Eastern Coffee Roasters just opened their very first brick-and-mortar café inside a beautifully restored historic train depot in Cheney. 🚂☕️ Now we talk about “watching planes fly by” all day long, but have you ever watched trains pass by while drinking coffee?!? Incredible. Lifechanging. Thought provoking…..

Okay okay, I’ve GOT to talk about this history of this place! The space itself dates back to 1929 and has been incredible thoughtfully restored with original materials and railroad artifacts that honor its history. Artifacts are sprinkled all around and incorporated to make this an experience!

Now, Eastern Coffee Roasters is bringing new life to the depot as a cozy spot to meet, study, and sip something special. What started as a small online coffee business in 2023 has quickly grown into a full café, roasting operation, and community gathering space.

You’ll find fresh roasted coffee, house-made drinks, baked goods, and panini-style sandwiches on the menu. I got their regular breakfast sandwich, donuts, and two types of coffee to try! Coffees are train themed. 😍 Also plenty of seating and parking!

Their goal? To create a destination that draws people in and connects community with great coffee. We love this new family-owned addition to the charming town of Cheney!

📍 15 Union St, Cheney, WA
⏰ Open daily 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM

Definitely worth the drive for the vibes alone! ✨
