Don’t sleep this South Hill Gardenscape!

When was the last time you visited a garden that was originally created in 1889?

Have you visited the Moore-Turner Heritage Gardens next to Edwidge Woldson Park yet? Did you even know we had another beautiful garden area up here on the South Hill? If you didn’t know, now you do, and that’s why I’m here! 😜 I do the digging and finding of cool places so y’all don’t have to! 🌷🌸💐

So many paths to follow and you never know what’s coming around the next corner! Just an FYI this garden is on a hillside so be prepared to walk fairly steep inclines. The views of Spokane are SO worth it though! 🖼️🌇

No dogs, or outside food/drinks, and this place isn’t ADA accessible!

HISTORY
The Moore-Turner Heritage Gardens were originally landscaped in 1889 when a portion of the South Hill was purchased by Frank Rockwood Moore. He served as the first President of the Washington Water Power Company as well as established the First National Bank with James Glover. That name sound familiar? 😜

Senator George Turner and wife took over the house next. Judge Turner served as the Washington State Supreme Court Justice. In 1911 improvements were made to this garden by adding shrubbery, flowers, staircases, trees and other perennials making it the largest in the northwest.
