Best move I’ve made: learning how to play chess at The Grain Shed with Spokane’s Social Chess Club!
Best move I’ve made all week? Stumbling into the South Hill chess club. Every Wednesday at the Grain Shed, a crew of chess lovers gathers for some serious (and not-so-serious) board battles. ♟️🍺
Last week the Blitz n Blunders club took me in like a rookie pawn with potential, taught me the game, shared some laughs, and made it feel like I’d always been part of the board. Seriously, huge shoutout to them as I think I may have found a new hobby!
Blitz n’ Blunders meets every Wednesday from 5:30 to 8 PM at The Grain Shed, perfect for anyone who loves chess or is just getting started. It’s totally casual and drop-in friendly, so swing by whenever you can and stay for as long (or short) as you like.
Be sure to give them a follow on social media to stay up to date on all their meetings as they do meet other days of the week in different locations of Spokane!
