Field Trip Friday: The Pickett Fence Coffee House

If you’re looking for a reason to take a little drive, here’s your sign: The Pickett Fence Coffee House in Deer Park is the perfect destination. Housed in a charming home-turned-café, it’s been on my “to be visited” list for a while, and I finally made the trip. It did not disappoint.

The moment I arrived, I felt right at home. The space radiates small-town charm with a giant lawn and plenty of seating for those who want to sip their lattes outdoors, as well as cozy indoor tables for cooler mornings. Their menu is packed with creativity—rotating weekly drinks, fresh breakfast sandwiches, ice cream, and even apparel and merchandise. You can feel the local love and support woven into everything they do.

I ordered the California Sunrise Breakfast Sandwich, and let me tell you, it was as good as it looked—fresh ingredients layered on a lightly toasted English muffin. Pairing it with an iced caramel latte made for a breakfast worth remembering.

The Pickett Fence serves more than just breakfast. With a selection of lunch options and long hours—6:00 AM to 7:00 PM Monday through Friday, and 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Saturdays—it’s a spot that easily fits into your day. (Closed on Sundays.)

You can find them at 24 Crawford St, Deer Park, WA. If you’re craving small-town charm with a side of caffeine, this road trip is well worth it.
